Faucet wheel, FreeCAD, parametric
thingiverse
Creating STL files with FreeCAD 0.17 proves to be troublesome, at least when using this specific FreeCAD file, as it selects and incorporates one subpart that was not intended for inclusion. Parameters: Combo View > Body_Main > Pad > Sketch: Property tab - The named constraints without formulas can be manipulated to achieve various wheel appearances. Note that some combinations cause the sketch to break up; the only straightforward and functionally safe solution is to reopen the file, refraining from saving it. The last two unnamed constraints display the inner (spokes) and outer diameters of the wheel. Some combinations necessitate adjustments to fillets, for instance, as seen in the *_50.fcstd file. The *_03.fcstd has a similar adjustment that makes that configuration work, but where "divs" can be adjusted upwards. Additionally, do not abruptly transition from divs 50 to 3; instead, make gradual progress. This appears to be one limitation of the FreeCAD solver.
