faucet mixing lever cartridge socket stabilizer
thingiverse
This is a repair part for a Grohe faucet mixing lever connection to the cartridge. Corrosion can break the metallic socket. This part fits neatly around that socket to stabilize it. Simply insert the printed "socket stabilizer" with the opening for the screw facing to the front, put the broken side of the original socket back and screw the lever back on. The size of this "socket stabilizer" is 16 mm fitting a 15 mm sized socket. The image shows the first iteration of the design. The walls of the part were to thick at the top blocking the lever from opening. The uploaded version contains a narrower top, especially at the corners, to allow the lever to open almost fully. This part is now installed for 3 months and still works. Printed in PLA with 100 % infill. No support necessary.
