Faucet knob cover

I'm not convinced I'd make this again. I created it in PLA to match the acrylic sink knobs, but the nozzle's position variability and shrinkage made consistency a real challenge. It took me around 4 or 5 attempts before I got the dimensions right. A little hot glue might just do the trick, though. Here are the settings I used: Temperature: 200C Build Platform Temperature: 110C 100% fill rate Nozzle placement: Eyeballed to be close enough The color comes from a Sharpie marker that I painted onto clear PLA before it went through the extruder. The colors aren't vibrant, but they get the job done. I've attached the source files because I expect you'll want to modify this some. Take a look at them and you'll see a tapered hole in the bottom to allow for the screw. Unfortunately, that didn't work out as planned, but it did thin out the plastic a bit so I could use a drill bit to waller it out. Yes, I wrote "waller." Don't judge me too harshly. EDIT: 7/2/11: Try using the second STL file with the tabs. It might just work better, but I haven't tested it yet. EDIT: 7/5/11: Unfortunately, this doesn't work with PLA. If I get some free time, I'll give ABS a shot.
