Faucet extention
myminifactory
Here are some 3D designs made by my third-grade students. Working in small groups, they used the engineering design process to solve their client's problem. The group's client was a classroom teacher whose classroom faucet had been causing massive issues. Because the nozzle of the faucet was positioned high above the top of the sink, water would spill off onto the counters, creating huge messes in her art classroom. After studying the problem, the students concluded that lowering their hands in the sink would significantly reduce the amount of water splashed onto the counter. Printed on a 3D printer using PETG material and a brim for optimal results.
