Faucet aerator 0.5" NPT thread
thingiverse
I printed this aerator for a half-inch faucet using two distinct processes. First, I used a nozzle with a diameter of 0.4 millimeters and set the layer fan to 40 percent. The infill density was also set at 40 percent, with a layer height of 0.1 millimeter and a print speed of 20 millimeters per second. To achieve this complex design, I divided the printing process into two distinct stages. In the first stage, from 0 to 2.6 millimeters in height, I printed only infill layers without any solid bottom or top layers. This allowed for maximum flexibility and ease of removal after printing. Four perimeters were also printed during this initial phase. For the second stage, from 2.6 millimeters up to the very top of the aerator, I focused on creating two distinct perimeters with a total of eight solid top layers. This combination of infill and perimeter layers resulted in a sturdy and reliable structure capable of effectively aerating water flowing through a half-inch faucet.
