FatShark Transformer Screen Cover/Stand/Battery Holder
thingiverse
I bought the FatShark transformer primarily as a spectator rig and monitor setup. The lack of an easy way to transport it without being encased in the goggles itself proved to be quite inconvenient due to its massive size. Furthermore, I didn't appreciate not having the option to detach the battery so I could easily hand it off to a friend. This protective cover snaps onto the front of the monitor utilizing the tripod mount and the slot at the top (where it connects into the goggle casing) to safeguard the screen during transportation. It also snaps onto the back, featuring slots where the battery holder can snap in place. Additionally, the battery is positioned at a suitable height for use as a kickstand to set the entire unit down at an ideal viewing angle. One notable drawback is that it obstructs your channel buttons and joystick, making settings adjustments more challenging; however, given my primary concern was protection during travel, this trade-off was acceptable.
