Fatshark Transformer fan mount
thingiverse
This is a custom mount designed specifically for the Fatshark Transformer FPV goggles. This design works seamlessly with both the "Fullscreen" and "Binocular" viewers, which I've personally used on each type of viewer. You can attach it to either side of the goggles, but for easier wiring, I recommend placing it on the right side of the "Binocular" or left side of the "Fullscreen". This design cleverly utilizes existing vent holes in the goggles. To secure the mount, use your preferred adhesive - I prefer hot glue, but silicone, epoxy, Sugru, and others will work just as well. Simply apply a bead of adhesive around the bottom edge of the fan mount and press it into place. You'll need a 30X30mm fan to complete this setup, like the one shown in the picture. The fan slides effortlessly into the box-shaped holder on the mount, fitting snugly without requiring any additional adhesive. This installation process is completely non-invasive, involving no drilling, screwing, or cutting, and can be reversed without causing damage (depending on the adhesive used). Friction alone should hold the fan in place, although this may vary depending on your chosen fan. I connect the fan leads to the Fatshark barrel jack lead via a JST connector. With 2S power, a 12v fan provides perfect airflow - you could also use a separate battery to power it if needed. This mount was printed using PLA.
