Update: v1.1.0 [ STL Improved | Rounded Corners ] Description (EN): As part of the Airster Community project, I designed a cover for converting a FatShark Attitude v3 to Diversity (Realacc RX5808 Lite). To avoid a homemade look, I removed the 3D printed appearance using wet sandpaper and filler in post-production. Realacc RX5808 Lite Made: Made from PLA black (Verbatime) Extruder temperature: 210°C Glass bed temperature: 58°C Resolution: 0.30 mm Infill: 15% Print speed: 50mm/s Support: Yes Follow us: airster.net Instagram Facebook Youtube Videos: Diversity conversion for FatShark Attitude v3 Print Settings Printer: CABster 3D Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 15% Post-Printing Preparation: First, I smoothed the surface with files and fine sandpaper. I used a 640-grit sandpaper to eliminate rough printing errors and reduce the depth of valleys between lines. Filling: Next, I filled small cracks and gaps with spray filler. I repeated this process four times until I achieved a smooth surface and no longer saw printing lines. Tip: When painting, be sure to apply thin layers. I applied five-minute intervals and layered three coats at once, repeating the process four times. Tool: Since we have both rounded corners and fine edges, I created a makeshift "sandstick" using files and sandpaper. This allows me to perfectly fit into corners and create a clean edge. Final Polish I used 1000-grit sandpaper for the final polish on black matte surfaces. When sanding, be gentle to avoid scratches or unevenness. Holes I removed holes and depressions from the filler material using a scraper, ensuring screws had enough space. How I Designed This Measurement: The only way to get the shape into CAD software was by successively testing against the shape of the glasses. Hours were spent printing small patterns, stopping, and re-printing until I achieved a satisfactory digital model. CAD Software: I used Onshape, a free cloud-based CAD browser tool with a premium option for additional features. It's easy to learn but offers many advanced capabilities not found in other CAD systems.
