Fatigue Relief Spray Paint Device Li-Ion Rechargeable
thingiverse
I made this device to relieve finger fatigue while spray painting for long periods of time. This initial design is optimized for Rustoleum spray cans but could be modified for other cans. The device runs off a 18350 1200mAh 3.7V Li-ion battery paired with an AmpRipper 3000 charge control board. Driving the mechanism is a 12kg servo that operates at 5V. A small Seeeduino XAIO Arduino board controls the servo based on the button input (on or off) and runs on the same power lines as the XAIO from the AmpRipper. The Arduino code attached can be tweaked for different stroke lengths. This device is a work in progress and I am interested to see improvements or suggestions! The complete .STEP assembly file is attached for reference along with all the .STL's. The parts are optimized for FDM printing, though SLA may work fine for most parts. The assembly can be a little tricky, I can upload an assembly video if anyone is interested.
