Fathom Claw accessory

The FATHOM challenge introduces a 3D printable accessory for drones: a claw equipped with a rangefinder and retractable shaft. This innovative device allows drones to pick up objects by extending the shaft to grab them and retracting it to release. A practical application is fruit-picking from high trees. The red lens in the middle of the claw's arms functions as a rangefinder, measuring distances for precise hovering. Designed for Horus Kestrel 3D, the claw can land on its landing gear without interference. Components are printed in FDM Nylon 12 and Production Grade thermoplastic for strength and lightweight. The claw consists of 29 parts, excluding the rangefinder and retracting shaft. Thanks to FATHOM for inspiring this topic and appreciation to everyone for their likes and comments.
