Fastrak transponder holder for Rear View Mirror Toyota Matrix/Corolla

This is a two-part FasTrak metro transponder holder that fits onto the circular shaft of my Toyota Matrix rearview mirror, and I believe it should also be similar for Toyota Corollas. Note that the fit around the rearview mirror shaft can be tricky, and the current design could use some tightening up without cracking the clamp. The holder for the transponder is designed to be snug with velcro stickers on the back of the transponder. If your transponder doesn't have these stickers, you'll need to make it thinner or add something to get a snug fit. Also note that the SketchUp STL files can sometimes be non-manifold, so I usually fix them through Netfabb and then print. The included STLs should have no issues. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Deezmaker Printer: Bukobot V2 Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: It shouldn't matter. Infill: 20% Notes: Don't print with supports, as the angle of the holder is designed to avoid overhangs. You will need a RAFT for the HOLDER only. Infill of 20% should be fine. The clamp should have 10% infill but 3-4 shells. Designing This Holder The clamp settings are crucial. The holder itself can be done in any style, but note that the design is such that the fins on the clamp tighten onto the holder's single fin only when attached to the rearview mirror shaft. This friction fit allows a variety of windshield angles, and the top of the transponder hits the roof so it doesn't pop out easily. Custom Section 20160831 It looks like the holder experiences too much stress around the inner edge where it clamps onto the rearview mirror shaft. Someone needs to redesign this for a more solid fit.
