FASTRACK12 Adapter

FASTRACK12 Adapter

I recently discovered that my bottles wouldn't fit in the fastrack12 despite the homebrew store specifically stating they would. Further investigation revealed that they do fit if the bottle cap is removed; however, this defeats the purpose of storing mead in these bottles. In response, I took the logical step and designed an adapter. This adapter should work with patent corks still on the bottles. Additional notes: The model was designed to be 16cm tall, allowing roughly 1/4 of it to sit inside the fastrack12 and provide stable footing. However, I experimented with shrinking it to 15cm tall and found that the metal bars from the patent cork caught the walls of the adapter. Despite applying pressure by hand, it didn't break. Upon standing up and leaning into it, the adapter cracked. The process was repeated until it finally broke. It's clear that printing this design at the correct size and distributing the pressure evenly around the top of the adapter will prevent any issues. In my experiment, I applied approximately 10kg or more pressure to only two points, whereas a standard-sized adapter would distribute the weight throughout its structure.
