The updated version offers significant performance improvements, reducing compile times by 3-4x. It generates a 2D surface shape that's extruded all at once for better efficiency; on my machine, 50x50 compiles take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, down from 6 hours or more. Additionally, it corrects an error in the default parameters that could result in non-manifold STLs. The Customizer preview is disabled in this version, so use Preview mode initially before switching to Compile for finalization. Please note that the Customizer only supports 20x20 images; larger images are still too slow. This feature primarily caters to users who prefer generating their own photo panes locally by downloading the OpenSCAD file. To compile locally, set the mode variable to 'Compile', generate the picture array using the image array tool (don't forget to invert colors), and adjust the width and height according to your image size. Be mindful that the majority of time will be consumed generating the preview in Compile mode, while the render and compile step should take under a minute.
