Fast Filament Flow Calibration 2-step
prusaprinters
This flowrate calibration test is inspired by the integrated tests from SuperSlicer and OrcaSlicer. It combines the more detailed results from OrcaSlicer with the way faster results from SuperSlicer wich also wastes less filament.Instructions for OrcaSlicer:go to C:\Program Files\OrcaSlicer\resources\calib\filament_flowbackup/copy the original files to another locationcopy the modified files for Orca to this location and rename them, so they have the same name as the original files. ("with space" are created with a distance for MK3s or similiar printers to avoid collisions when printing these objects seperately)Instructions for SuperSlicer:Just open the SuperSlicer files make your adjustments and print.Instructions for PrusaSlicer:PrusaSlicer lacks adding a mutiplier for individual objects. I would suggest you copy your PrusaSlicer config files over to SuperSlicer and then make the flow calibration with SuperSlicer. Calibration instructions:make sure you dialed in the right temparatureput the filamanet flow variable to 100% (1.0)turn off pressure advance print the first file (pass-1)now mainly take a look at the surface quality inside the circle and choose the last one that looks slightly overextruded. (for example -5%)add the chosen value to your flow variable (in this example 100%-5%=95% or 1.0-0.05=0.95) print the second file (pass-2)again look at the surface inside the circle. This time you choose the best looking one. (for example -6)adjust the flow variable again ( 95% * (100-6)%=89,3% or 0.95 * (1-0.06)=0.893 ) The templates are made with PrusaSlicer 2.7 and included in the templates-directory. Have Fun!
