Fast calibration, temperature, cooling fan, and retraction test
thingiverse
Tried out a few calibration models that were designed to test printing limits, but they all took way too long to print, which wasn't ideal for my needs (2.5-3 hours vs now just 10-15 minutes). This model was specifically created to calibrate my Monoprice Maker Select V2.1 and CR-10 printers. The calibration process showed a noticeable difference between the two machines. My i3 printer has an all-metal hotend with a retraction setting of 0.5mm, while my CR-10 has the original hotend, which I had previously replaced with a MicroSwiss all-metal hotend but later switched back to the original one. The CR-10's hotend comes with a 3.7mm retraction setting, which might be too aggressive for its current setup. The model itself measures 22mm in height and features four cylinders of different sizes: 1mm, 3mm, 5mm, and 7mm. I chose not to base the calibration on the printer's base to ensure accuracy. The top-most cylinder should measure 10mm in diameter, regardless of the nozzle size used. Keep in mind that with a 0.4mm nozzle, the 1mm measurement might be slightly closer to 1.2mm due to the printing resolution.
