The lighthouse is located in a small peninsula known as Punta Lobadiz (some people also refer to it as Punta das Gabeiras, due to the islands directly across from the peninsula), within the municipality of Ferrol, between Doniños, Viladarea and San Xurxo. The data collection took place using a Canon PowerShot G15 camera.
