Dimensions: X: 5.90 inch Y: 3.79 inch Z: 3.28 inch Scale 1:200 The design showcases a hollow tower and floor orifice that enables the insertion of a 9volt battery, powering diodes to illuminate it. A lighthouse was erected by the Spanish on May 2, 1882, at a spot designated in 1782 by Fray Iñigo Abbad y Lasierra, author of Puerto Rico's first formal history, as "the reference point for regular island navigators." A corridor inside leads to an eight-step stairway ascending into the tower. An ornate cast-iron staircase leads to the stone central lantern. The original illuminating system, unchanged until 1898, had an 18-mile range and displayed a fixed white light flashing red every three minutes. This neo-classic structure resembles a castle with its parapet in the portico's roof and tower's rectangular cornice in the middle section. https://www.lighthousefriends.com/light.asp?ID=1166
