The clock face originates from a NASA 3D image of the far side of the moon, which can be viewed at https://nasa3d.arc.nasa.gov/detail/moon-nearside-farside. The rest of the design was inspired by a French clock photograph. Measuring approximately 170 x 170 x 100 mm in size, this clock utilizes inexpensive battery-powered quartz movements. A rear access plate that snaps into place provides accessibility. The completed project involved mixing white mica powder with art epoxy for the clock face and polyurethane mixed with silver and black mica for the clock body. A support file is included for reference purposes.
