I picked up my prize fantasy football trophy with both hands and carefully placed it beneath the red glow of the Microsoft Kinect's 3D scanner, surrounded by the familiar blue walls of my home office, and then ran a precise calibration process using the advanced software package Skanect. Afterward, I took a step back to review the digital image that materialized on screen, and while the trophy stood upright in mid-air with stunning precision, a slight blemish marred its lower segment - probably due to some minute warping during manufacturing or shipping! Still, overall, I'm rather pleased with how it turned out.
