This was designed because my camper's under storage latches keep breaking down, but only the top part and then just the hold tab. There was no need to create a base because the part that keeps breaking is the end tab of the top latch not the one bottom one which is usually attached with rivets. I suspect that this should fit most standard latches. Just use the same hardware that was in the original and install it in the new one. I took the RV Latch made by marcsulf, and published Jun 5, 2012, and made it narrower so that the tabs would fit my camper's base. Then I added side rails to keep the same outside appearance.
