FanShowdown: Drag - An aviation inspired fan (v2)
thingiverse
This is my second fandesign for MajorHardware's FanShowdown: Taking the aerodynamic wing design of the common wild plane, I applied it to my vast knowledge of fandesign (read: none) and merged them together. Let me introduce you to DRAG! This fan design forces a pull configuration. Main reason for it are the shark like fins (aka winglets): They reduce drag and turbulence, at least for an airplane... The unique shape of an airplane wing also causes a pressure differential for uplift No clue what all of this means for the fan, but I do hope for decent cooling performance and a low and unique noise profile. Likely, the fan won't be one of the fastest out there tho :-) Thread on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/FanShowdown/comments/o4f3mz/introducing_drag_an_aviation_inspired_fan/
