While modifying my FT-09 from microscope to robot, I failed to follow the instructions and yanked the arms downward prematurely, resulting in a shattered bicep swivel joint. Assuming others may have made the same mistake, I'm posting this replacement part. Cut off the stump flush with the surrounding area using a sharp knife, then drill a 5 mm diameter hole exactly where the peg used to be. The new printed part will pass through both holes - the one you just drilled and the original factory hole. The rounded end goes into the shoulder/upper section. The "I-beam" end slips into the bicep/lower portion. If you have access to a TPU printer, I highly recommend using that material. It's extremely resilient and will be stronger than the original part, but PLA should still suffice. The T-shaped protrusion on the rounded end serves as an integrated support feature that should be trimmed away after printing. This model is designed to be printed with the large end of the "I-beam" (and the T-shaped support) facing down on the print bed. That orientation will make the swivel joint more robust by allowing the filament to run axially rather than making concentric rings. Additionally, a "cooling tower" model is included so that the layers can cool properly since the part is relatively small.
