Version 1.1 of FanLib features added 2510 and 2515 fan models based on user feedback, with screw size at 3mm to accommodate the design of the holes. However, testing has been limited. The library was created to help users draw Computer/Muffin fan shapes and sizes in OpenSCAD while designing a Carbon Air Filter. Though the Thingiverse rendering might not be clear, click on "view full size" for better visuals. The fan sizes were collected from various datasheets, but users can create their own definitions if necessary. The data storage strategy used is similar to that in MCAD/stepper.scad by Hans Häggström. FanLib also uses the MCAD libraries shapes.scad and materials.scad for roundedBox and test modules, respectively, by Catarina Mota/Elmo Elmo Mäntynen and Hans Häggström. To use FanLib, locate the desired fan in the FanData section using UpperCamelCase parameters. Modules available include FanBody, FanOutline, FanScrewHoles, and FanCutout, with various customizable parameters such as FanDeep and FanHoles. A variable, FanRender, determines whether render() is used to improve the object's appearance in preview. Remember to measure accurately before printing. Future plans include adding fan motor and blades, but no ETA is provided.
