Fanless Mini PC stand
thingiverse
Update 7 May 2024: Added new version with holes to mount 80mm and 92mm fan, to use as a structure to hold a fan on top, and reduced the stand size to create clearance from rubber feet.Bought this fanless mini PC from AliExpress to replace my existing old PC turned pfsense box because of the lower power consumption. (Electricity cost is increasing, I anticipate I will get back the cost of this in electricity cost savings in 2 to 3 years.)Designed with minimal contact with the box to increase the available surface area for natural convection. The device footprint is 135x125mm with a radius of 5 to 6mm at all corners, if anyone is thinking of using it for other devices.Runs 1 to 3 degrees Celcius cooler after having it raised. I am also deciding if I should have it stand vertically instead. So far letting it stand vertically has not seen a noticeable difference for me.I printed in ABS, the mini PC external temperature can hit more than 50 deg C depending on your ambient temperature and workload and I doubt PLA will be suitable.
