Fang's Body
thingiverse
Fang is a fully 3D printable animatronic dragon. These are the files for Fang's body. The aligner parts and peg connector are optional. You can use toothpicks instead of peg aligners. I welded all the body parts together with a plastic welder, so I didn't need the peg connectors. After you're done with the body, you can cover it in scales. The scales can be found on Fang's skull thingiverse page: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4312923 Important Notes: Anything that has (L.B) in its name is load bearing. I recommend printing those with a high infill (40-100%). Everything else can be printed with an infill of 10-20%. The parts that need to be printed twice have (x2 Needed) in their name. For the neck and tail, you'll need to drill out some pre-made holes so you can feed the cable through. For the access panel, you'll need to print a hinge and bolt it to the body and the panel so the panel can open and close. Don't worry if the pegs on the right & left side body break off. They're there as a guide to help you align the parts. A few of mine broke off, but I was still able to assemble the body properly without re-printing or repairing the part. The Body Parts.zip contains all the body parts along with assembly pictures. Note: This version of the body is a MK 1, so it may be upgraded eventually (after I finish my other projects). This body is designed to be a general shape, and once you cover it with scales, it should look a lot better. But feel free to make it better if you can!
