Fanduct for single 5015 fan for Artillery Sidewinder X1
thingiverse
Version 2.0 - SWX1_Fanduct_8.stl - Added a small notch to have a better look at the nozzle from the front. - Slightly optimized the position of the screws. - Small error-corrections - Slightly increased the size of the mountingplate due to the fragility of the screwholes. Version 1.0 - SWX1_Fanduct_6.stl I saw many fanduct-designs for the Sidewinder X1 stock fan and found some for dual 5015 fans. Sadly the 4020 stock was a bit to loud for my feelings and had not enough air pressure for my feelings (weight Stockfan+duct ~35g). Designs for dual 5015-fans have nice/high airflow but also a high weight (~85-100g) depending on designs and materials, which can increase ghosting/ringing). This is why I designed a new, easy printable, low weight fanduct+mount for a single 5015-fan: 1. For my experience: 5015-fans have higher airflow or lower loudness compared to 4020 fans 2. The fanduct allows a better airflow than stock 3. Weight of fan+duct is ~45-50g (depending on materials) 4. Unlike another solo 5015-fanduct that I found, it is designed for 3d printing with less issues and allows good airflow. 5. There are 3 deepenings in it to put some damping materials inside between mount and fan (I don't know if this has some effect but also saves some weight) 6. In this design the LED on the extruder does not fit well anymore! - if you still want to use it, you have to bend the pins of the LED a little bit and use transparent filament. Let me know if you run into any issue!
