This is a custom fan duct for Delta Printers, designed to balance compactness with airflow efficiency in the printing area. All designs are tailored specifically for the volcano hotend, which sparked the idea of creating my own fan duct when I couldn't find one that fit seamlessly onto aluminum parts without obstructing the print bed's travel path. Since I use a BLTouch probe, I also designed an adjustable mount and a fixed one to accommodate it. There are three designs available: * A 360° fan duct using a standard 40x40x10mm fan * A 360° fan duct featuring a turbo 40x40x10mm fan * A Fang-style fan duct utilizing a turbo 40x40x10mm fan For optimal performance, it's recommended to use Noctua fans for the regular designs, while the turbo fan I used is available at this link: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Gdstime-40mm-x-40mm-x-10mm-4cm-DC-12V-2Pin-Brushless-Turbo-Blower-Fan-For-3D/32800602260.html?spm=2114.01010208.3.84.0m912B&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_5_10152_10065_10151_10068_436_10136_10137_10157_10060_10138_10155_10062_10156_10154_10056_10055_10054_10059_10099_10103_10102_10096_10147_10052_10053_10142_10107_10050_10051_10084_10083_10080_10082_10081_10177_10110_10111_10112_10113_10114_10181_10183_10182_10185_10078_10079_10073_10070_10123,searchweb201603_2,ppcSwitch_5&algo_expid=91aec55e-e0d7-4015-ad02-891773214216-11&algo_pvid=91aec55e-e0d7-4015-ad02-891773214216 When printing with these fan ducts, it's essential to avoid supports within the fanduct itself. Cleaning up supports from inside the fan duct can be challenging and may render it ineffective. The adjustable BLTouch mounts employ springs for support, whereas the Turbofan uses a large spring and a long M3 bolt. The M3 bolt head is positioned between the pillars of the BLTouch mount with its threads facing upwards. A nut is then placed on top to secure the assembly and adjust the height as needed. A word of caution: it's recommended to slow down print speeds and lower extrusion temperatures or employ part cooling to prevent small surfaces from not sticking properly, potentially causing them to drag around with the hotend instead of adhering together. This was a lesson learned through trial and error. The fan intake primarily serves to enhance air suction for the turbo fan, significantly increasing airflow output compared to using it without the fan intake. As my printer operates in a heated enclosure, I typically print parts at 40% infill to maximize strength. However, testing has shown that printing with 10% infill also yields satisfactory results.
