If you plan to print this design, be aware that the photographs don't show the actual shape of the STL file. I had a mistake in the design when printing this lamp, which placed the top farther down on the post than it should have been. The actual shape is shown by the gold-colored image, where I fixed the error after my print was about 80% complete; I didn't want to abort a print that had been going for more than 15 hours. This lamp will print in about 22 hours with a print speed of 90 mm/sec and a layer height of 0.200 mm. This lamp is designed to hold any one of several LED lights called "puck" lights, which can be powered by either batteries or wall power. You can find links for wall-powered lights that work well on this blog page: http://birkbinnard.com/blog/wall-powered-led-lights/.
