Fancy Type Case

Fancy Type Case

I wanted a one-of-a-kind case design that didn't involve just rows and columns. I chose to base it on truncated octahedrons. To get started, I printed out a template so I could cut the cardboard into the right shapes. How to Make It ------------- * Print the Template * Use the Template to trace the figure onto cardboard (I used 15 pieces in my example, but avoid making mirror copies) * Cut out the figure * Mark the edges with a Biro and a ruler * Fold and glue each piece together * Glue the pieces into place as shown in the picture - you may need to cut some halves at the bottom * Enjoy your new custom case If you want to make everything out of plastic instead, print several items from setz1.stl without supports and connect them with screws.
