Fancy Fan - DC 5-12V
thingiverse
A classic electric fan made with mostly printed components. My model produces a decent airflow, but is somewhat loud due to the cheap 625 bearing I'm using. It's designed to work with a brushed hobby motor - make sure to choose one that operates at a low RPM to prevent overheating. It runs perfectly on a 2S LiPo battery or a 5-12V power supply. Unprinted parts: * A set of 10mm M3 button head bolts - 27 pieces * Four 8mm M3 bolts * Twenty-six M3 lock nuts * An M3 bolt that is at least 16mm long (for attaching the motor to the base) * A 25mm M5 socket head bolt * An M5 lock nut * A 625 Bearing * Nylon standoffs that are 35mm long (alternatively, these can be printed) * A brushed motor (24 and 34mm diameter mounts are provided, cassette deck motors work well) - one piece * Wire for the motor, if needed * A momentary lever switch (the same type as those used in mechanical endstops) * Super Glue (one drop on the shaft adapter if it's slipping) * Hot glue (for securing the switch in position) * Additional wires, zipties, etc.
