Due to Rewbin asking over at my Fanatec QR Wheel Stand in the comments ... He also provided time and effort to test-print the model iterations and gave great feedback, thanks!I edited my QR1 stand to work with the new 2023 QR2 quick release mechanism.I've tried to maintain the original dimensions/positions to make it still fit in one piece on the build plate. But please note: I am unable to test it properly for myself as I do not own a QR2 wheel and base.UPDATE 2023-11-06 (v3)Key features/improvements:tested high quality model of the mount stub from Spiesel, thanks very much for allowing the remix!more protruding legs so heavier/front-heavy wheels don't tipple oversingle-part/two-part versions:one-part for smaller build plates, which will support smaller wheels (about 15 cm from center to bottom)two-part variant you'll have to glue together for bigger wheels (about 19 cm from center to bottom) and/or use a self-tapping wood screw, whatever works best for youAs this is a functional part and the wheel can be heavy, take this into account when choosing your filament, number of perimeters and infill percentage.Mine from almost 4 years ago (obviously QR1, not QR2) is still fine using PLA with 3 perimeters and 20% infill though, but your mileage may vary.UPDATE 2023-10-29I have tried to address all problems along others and made essentially three versions over the past 4 hours or so, please let me explain:Fanatec Wheel Stand Quick Release Mount QR2 single-part v2.stlversion to be printed in one piece and has most of the changes of the two-part version (besides still being a more small version, of course)...back in the QR1 stand days some people with bigger diameter wheels said there's not enough room, but since I've made it as compact as possible so it fits most build plates ... well, couldn't make it bigger (at least for my printer) so here comes the "two-part" version:(2) Fanatec Wheel Stand Quick Release Mount QR2 two-part_LEGS.stlonly the legs with an angled extrusion which should fit into the stand, the legs protrude more, so front-heavy or deeper wheels should fit better and the new printing orientation should make them more stable as wellhas to be printed alongside 2a or 2b and you have to glue the legs to the stand(2a) Fanatec Wheel Stand Quick Release Mount QR2 two-part_STAND.stlnewly designed upper part which hopefully fixes the slicing error (hole) and the bad fit of the wheel's QR2 itself, I have left as much space as I could while still being able to print it without supports(2b) Fanatec Wheel Stand Quick Release Mount QR2 two-part_STAND_no-holes.stlsame as 2a but with errr holes?! Call them racing stripes or whatever, felt like it 😂checked all four files for slicing errors and found none, so hopefully it will fit this time - I do not own a QR2 so I am unable to proof-print the most important part, sorry Please note: this is the QR2 version (bars)!Get the QR1 version here ...
