I got tired of my mouse constantly falling off my rig onto the floor, so I designed this simple mouse holder which can be mounted on the side of the Fanatec shifter using the T-nuts provided with the shifter (and two M5 bolts).  The mouse I have is a HyperX - Pulsefire Haste 2, but the vague curvature would fit most standard mouse models.
