Fanatec Shifter Clamp
thingiverse
The Fanatec steering wheel's shifter mounting bars are rather fragile, causing the entire shifter to sway about 20 degrees when shifting from third to fourth gear. To counter this issue, I created a clamp that prevents the bars from rotating against each other, thus stopping the shifter from moving as well. One clamp currently suffices, but two on either side would likely be more effective. This DIY clamp requires three M3x20 bolts and three M3 locknuts; I constructed mine using PLA and tightened the screws until they were almost deforming for a snug fit. Smoothing the rods slightly could enhance its performance further.
