Fanatec CSL Elite wheel paddle shifter fix
thingiverse
I'm trying to fix my Fanatec wheel because the paddle shifters are pretty much dead and it's out of warranty. I decided not to try and fix the electronics board since I don't have the right skills, so I designed a simple mount for two microswitches instead. The type of microswitch I used is the SS-5GL-3 with a lever, and I soldered it to the normally closed pin. When you pull the shifter, it will release the microswitch. To assemble this project, you'll also need some M2.5, M3, and M4 screws and nuts. For the cable, you'll need connectors like the ones sold on Hestore under the category of microphone connector - they're available here: https://www.hestore.hu/prod_10029570.html and https://www.hestore.hu/prod_10029569.html. If you know what these connectors are actually called, please let me know. Electronics-wise, I used an easy solution from Leo Bodnar or an Arduino, but you can use whatever you like.
