Fan Stand
thingiverse
I installed another fan to cool down my printer's mainboard, specifically an Anet A8 model. This stand will hold the fan in its proper position. To power the fan, I'll be using the printer's power supply, which converts AC voltage from 110/220 volts to a DC output of 12 volts. Then, I'll connect a wire from the power supply's channel to the fan's corresponding wire - either channel 4, 5 or 6 for the black wire (common) or channel 7, 8 or 9 for the red wire (positive voltage). Required Materials: * One 3D printed stick, model "3dmbfan_stick.stl", which may need to be modified slightly with sandpaper * One main part, also 3D printed, model "3dmbfan_main_r.stl" * Two base parts, 3D printed as well, models "3dmbfan_base.stl" or the more stable "3dmbfan_base_2.stl" Other necessary items include: * An M3 nut and screw to hold the fan in place * A 12-volt DC fan measuring either 7x7 cm or 8x8 cm * Some wire for connecting everything together
