I upgraded my 3D printer's performance with the Heacent K-type extruder and hotend from Aliexpress, an outstanding deal considering its price. However, I soon discovered that print quality wasn't up to par due to a distance between the fan and the hotend, resulting in slow printing speeds to allow for cooling. To resolve this issue, I added the fan shroud, which greatly enhanced both speed and quality of my prints. The second version features a wider spout with slightly increased clearance for effortless prints. My upgrades with the new extruder and fan shroud were exceptional investments for the 3D printer and incredibly cost-effective as well. Instructions You can securely attach the fan shroud to Heacent mounting brackets. However, ensure you use longer 3mm bolts, allowing them to pass through all components: the bracket, the shroud, and the housing of your fan. Approximately 2-3mm clearance between the print and shroud ensures no disruptions during operation. If visual oversight under the shroud is required or a bit more space is desired, consider using version two stl models.
