Fan Shroud 40mm x 20mm Blower Style - Rostock Max

I recently acquired the all-metal effector by 713Maker, which came as part of the basic kit with 38mm spacers and standard lock ring, forcing me to revert back to stock fan shrouds. I had to find a way to improve cooling compared to the previous effector. Rather than continuing to prop up a desk fan on some pesky PLA prints, I decided to increase the size of the fans from stock (for V2) 30x10mm blower fans to more substantial 40x20mm blower fans (BPB4020M12). I'm extremely pleased with the results so far and have chosen to share them publicly. Print Settings Printer Brand: SeeMeCNC Printer: Rostock MAX Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: .20mm Infill: 20% Notes: I used Proto-Pasta's Carbon Fiber in my design, minimizing support material as much as possible - S3D created support from the build platform and I tweaked it a bit. Internally, minimal support was necessary by design. The fans fit snugly enough that they don't require glue or extra screws. Updates Don't use Proto-Pasta's Carbon Fiber if you plan to work with higher temp plastics (such as ABS) that don't utilize cooling fans. The peek fan blows hot air over one of the shrouds, which will begin to soften, droop, and eventually collide with the print. Do'h! Since I needed to reprint some shrouds, I tweaked the model by smoothing nearly everything on the inside for flow and thickened the center exit braces to ensure a decent result. The reprints used SeeMeCNC Midnight Black ABS. I even vapor washed them for improved airflow and to enhance their appearance. I didn't have rubber bands on the other shrouds, but decided to add some just in case. For whatever reason, I felt it necessary to secure the fans down this time for peace of mind. I've only had a fan pop off once on the old shrouds so I used a little silicone to keep them in place.
