This is a protective cover or shield for your standard 4010 40mm fan. The mounting holes are precisely 4mm in diameter, designed to accommodate both 4mm and 3mm mounting screws. The lower edge remains flat to enable secure placement on your extruder feed without interfering with the carriage. This two-piece design ensures that the shroud can clear the fan without any obstacles. As a result, no supports are required. However, you will need to use extruder heatsink fan screws that are approximately 5mm longer to mount this protective cover securely.
