This fan mount is specifically designed for use with two mods found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:300335/#files and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:304213. Attach the fan to the modified UP Mini extruder stepper using two 1/2" dia x 1/8" thick neodymium magnets epoxied into the fan mount, and two 1/2" x .090 steel washers epoxied to the stepper mount and wind barrier. Ensure proper clearance from the printer housing when the extruder is at its furthest right position. The included drawing offers more details on assembly. Power the 12V, 15-20mm fan by connecting it directly to the existing fan wires. This setup allows air to be pushed away from the stepper motor. To mount the fan, drill four 3mm x 0.5 holes in the fan mount and use 3mm x 0.5 x 10mm screws. You might also need to lengthen your heater wires for a successful installation.
