Fan guide for HP DPS-600PB PSU
thingiverse
This is a Fan Cooling Guide for HP DPS-600PB PSU. To achieve much quieter fans, replace the original loud fan. The guide works well, but I added an extra large fan on top of two PSUs to be completely sure it would work. This combination has been in use for over two years now and has not had any issues since then. I used a Noctua NF-A8 PWM fan connected to the original (blue) cable for the fan's power signal line. I left out the Vcc and Gnd connections from the original connector, isolating them. Additionally, I connected Vcc to a 12V port on the board (view images) and Gnd to the main output Gnd connector. Please be cautious when working with this project, as opening the PSU can be hazardous if not done correctly. Only open the PSU if you are certain of your actions and it has been unplugged for several hours. This was one of my first prints, so feel free to customize it to suit your needs using the provided *.ipt file in AutoCad Inventor.
