I built a custom fan cover that caught my eye at first because I thought its design was really cool. But when I put it to use, I quickly realized it made the fan sound pretty loud so I decided to try again with silence as my top priority. While I love how it looks too, it's definitely unique - it reminds me of a jet engine exhaust or something.\r\n\r\nWhen it comes to noise reduction, this design works beautifully! Without any kind of grill in front of the fan, turbulence and whine are almost completely eliminated.
