Fan Grill
thingiverse
In just two hours, the fan cover was 100% filled by a student who designed and refined its profile using Mastercam 7 software. The student set the toolpath for CNC machining, created an STL file, and 3D printed it. However, the part was not actually milled; it was only 3D printed using a MakerBot MakerWare on a Replicator 2X. The design was entirely student-made, and the student found an image online (source unknown) to refine their creation in Mastercam 7 before printing. The student expressed happiness with the final product.
