Fan Duct for Prusa Mendel Longboat

This user owns a Prusa Mendel Longboat 3D printer, which is equipped with an aluminum X carriage and J-head nozzle hot end. Due to unavailability of a fitting duct, they have designed their own version that accommodates a 40mm x 40mm fan and clamps onto the aluminum plate's edge. Additionally, they developed a MOSFET controller for controlling the fan using Sanguinololu with Sprinter firmware. Instructions, schematics, and firmware modifications will be provided soon. An update is available on Thingiverse at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:22202. For printing this design, a 0.5mm nozzle and 0.3mm slices in Slic3r were used. However, manual addition of support structure was necessary as the automated support from Slic3r didn't work for them. The STL files are available both with and without supporting structures. The assembly requires six nuts and screws, including two M3 ones and others that fit the fan's mounting holes.
