fan duct for ender 3 pro with bltouch and noctua fans
thingiverse
Edit: As i had a question about the diameter of the inserts, i realized that i made a mistake with the amount of inserts and bolts. Updated it with the correct ones. I searched for a fan duct that was not rising too much above my hotend-fan. Allso i have 3 noctua fans in my previous setup to make it less noisy. The most parts i have found have, or the noctua fans, or the bltouch, but never both. And if they do, they rise a lot (in my mind that is) above the hotend-mount. With this setup, i can easily remove the hotend fan to acces my hotend for maintenance, just 2 screws. I designed the fan duct in 2 parts, you have to glue them together, because i was not sure if i could remove the support after printing. The complete assembly mounts on the original bolts of the e-plate, making it sturdy. You will need the original bltouch mount as well. I tested the airflow with a bridging test, and was able to print a 50mm overhang without problems. Feel free to comment or critisize, very welcome, but changing the part for me is a little tricky, i am not an expert and had enough trouble as it is to design this. You will need: 2 x m3 inserts 4mm long 4mm outside diameter. 10 x m4 inserts 4mm long 5mm outside diameter. 10 x m4-25 4 x m3-12 Some glue. Thanks to Felix Ort for the bltouch drawing Thanks to Martin Csanaki for the noctua fans drawing Thanks to Nejc Tovornic for the hotend drawing Please do not pay attention to the cable management of my setup, i am busy changing the motherboard and that takes time.....
