Fan_Duct_Edit
thingiverse
My printer is equipped with an upgraded block, and this upgrade poses a problem since it's approximately 1-3mm too large to fit through the block. To resolve this issue, I imported the design into 123D Design and adjusted the hole size to 18mm in diameter. In order to ensure proper placement of the parts for the fan component, I've made an effort to locate them in a similar position as before. While it's not perfect, I'll monitor the results to see how they turn out. Furthermore, I've taken approximately 1mm off the part that interfaces with the fan since mine happens to be slightly smaller than expected. Hopefully, this information will be helpful to others facing a similar challenge. I've recently made an edit to the design, which I've dubbed "edit_1," and it features angled components at the top to facilitate filament adhesion. This modification was necessary because the initial version of the part worked well in terms of fit but failed to provide proper sticking properties due to its smooth surface. By incorporating these angled elements, I've improved the design's ability to securely hold onto the filament.
