IMPORTANT UPDATE !!! Occasionally I found that the most common length of nozzle throat on Geeetech MK8 is 38mm, so I adapted the original (my throat is 30mm) to match that dimension too!!!. (Nozzle throat is an M6 threaded tube/barrel with a PTFE tube inserted and connected to a heater ALU block, which also connects to the nozzle and extruder.) For 30mm throats, please use: dd_combo_senh.stl dd_combo_duct.stl For 38mm throats, please use this universal model that works for throats from 30-38mm: dd_combo_senh_38.stl dd_combo_duct_38.stl ************************************ I created this fan duct with a sensor holder primarily for my own needs because I'm not entirely satisfied with the existing options. Of course, I'll be thrilled if others find that this duct is useful to them too. This remixed fan duct was originally designed for Anet printers, but I adapted it for Geeetech Prusai3 pro B and other printers using the Geeetech MK8 extruder holder. This cooling duct is intended for use with the standard unmodified Geeetech Prusai3 pro B printer. Here's what's different compared to the original "Mistral": * Ducts are proportionally extended (longer) by 5mm * The fan holder is beveled at a 22.5-degree angle for easier access to the extruder * A horizontal adjustable holder was added for the Geeetech MK8 bracket * A horizontal adjustable 3DTouch holder was also added, which can be printed as a separate part All forms, dimensions, positions, and distances were taken from manufacturer and designer public materials and measured with proper tools. This printer is good and useful, but it's not a first-class product. It's possible that the dimensions on the same type of printer may not be the same, so my measured printer dimensions may not match yours exactly. You might need to make some adjustments by removing material (if there are too big distances) or adding material (if there are too small distances). Alternatively, you can remake your own fan duct as I did. For proper mounting this fan duct, rotate the ALU block heater 180 degrees horizontally and vertically (as shown in a picture). Vertical rotation is necessary to keep the heater's and temperature sensor wires on the right side. Horizontal rotation is required because of the ducts, which need to be as close to the nozzle as possible. I printed the fan duct in PLA, and everything works fine. If you'd like to learn more about this type of ducts, visit "Mistral" pages at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2121279. If someone has already made this duct, please leave a photo or comment!
