
Fan duck + 18mm proximity sensor for Afinibot A3

I built a fan duck with an 18mm Capacitive Proximity Sensor for my Afinibot A3 3D Printer. The fan duck was designed from scratch using 123D, based on the design by doctoracula. It provides excellent air flow and prevents warping of the 3D parts being printed. The proximity sensor is a DC 6V-36V Capacitive Proximity Sensor Detection Switch Detector NPN DC NO 3-wire LJC18A3-B-Z/BX (available on Amazon). I printed the fan duck with PETG to prevent it from deforming due to nozzle heat... I also included the 123D file, so you can modify the part if required for your needs. Cheers! Print Settings: Printer: Afinibot A3 (same as Prusa i3) Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 60% Notes: Use PETG, ABS or Nylon (or higher temperature filament than PLA) so it doesn't deform with the heat generated by the nozzle. How I Designed This: I used Autocad 123D Design to create this model.
