For a fan with an opening of 12.5x16.5, I've been conducting experiments using flow tools to measure the diameter of every hole for optimal airflow. The holes are clustered 6mm beneath the diffuser, so the nozzle's tip should be positioned 3-5 mm below the diffuser.
