Soon after getting my Kossel Clear from Blue Eagle Labs, it became very obvious that a fan was a necessity. So I built this. It should be noted that I mounted the hotend on top the platform, instead of under it as the directions (video) indicated. This means the hotend does not hang down as far. The first fan I tried was about an inch thick, heave for it's size, and drew 0.55 amp! The RAMPS/Arduino could not handle it at full power for more then a couple of minutes, then the power would blink out and the printer would reboot... failed print. It did work well at 80%, moved a LOT of air, but the center of gravity was so high that it caused the hotend to wobble all over during infill. So a smaller fan was needed. I had some of the one in the picture, draws only 0.09 amp, but does not move nearly as much air. :( In fact it is not enough. So I decided to add two fans, one on each side, and maybe a third in the original top location. I have not yet printed the 3 port version, but do not see any problem printing it. Note that it has built in support, which should break right out. I could not get my slicer to make sensible support, so I just built it in.
