fan cooled 3.5 TFT Raspberry Pi 3 B/B+ Case (Remixed)
thingiverse
Once I purchased a Raspberry Pi 3 display and created a custom sleeve for it, I noticed that it would sometimes overheat. But the sleeve I printed was too small to accommodate a cooler. I discovered an incomplete design online but decided to modify it instead. I simply extended the top section of the design to match the dimensions of the Raspberry Pi 3 and its display, and then cut out a hole for easy access. Known issues: The top part may not fit perfectly with your display, depending on the quality of your print. In my case, the print was slightly warped, so I had to use a lighter to soften the case before installing the display. The fan used in this setup is a 30mm model. At first, I didn't realize that the original design called for a 30mm fan, but fortunately, I already had a 40mm fan from my Anet A8 lying around.
